Hostel

The students live in the hostel [GNM & Basic B. Sc. Nursing Programme] are fully residential and hostel facilities are also available for Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing & M. Sc. Nursing students. The campus has girls hostel i.e. Florence Nafziger, Leena Graber, Betty Erb and Boys hostel for all the nursing students which is located within the campus. This is a beautiful building with attractively furnished, recreation room & dining hall. The students have to abide by the rules & regulations prescribed by the authorities and help in creating a home like atmosphere. In order to promote a well-balanced personality the students are encouraged to participate in religious, social & professional activities. Provisions such as sports, indoors & outdoor games are available. Students are guided to use their leisure time creatively and effectively. Single cot accommodations with common mess facilities are provided. The institute recognizes the major concern to all students in the availability and quality of accommodation. Water & electricity is provided. Hostel warden resides in the hostel itself which adds to the security of the students. Apart from the hostel warden sufficient cooking staff, sanitary workers, gardeners and guards are available.

Own Hospital

A multi specially 250 bedded hospital is available in campus for the proficiency of the student in clinical field. Clinical practice at the bed side is compulsory right from the first year.
The hospital also has 5 operating theatres for critical, life-saving surgeries and to handle an accident, trauma victims. We also have allied services such as Pathology, Blood Bank; Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation to ensure a holistic healthcare service delivery approach, so that the patients and their families need not visit multiple clinics.
The OPD and IPD are supported by fully computerized and automated laboratory and diagnostic radiology facilities. Radiology, latest equipment has been installed for quality diagnosis and treatment. 1.5 Tesla MRI and 64 Slice CT scanner are some of the best equipment that has taken medical technology to a new height.

Religious life

There is a chapel within the campus where regular devotion are held every morning at 07:30 to 08:00 am, MYF meeting every Saturday, Sunday service for Christian students & those who wants should make an effort to attend these.

Laboratories

Without hands on training it becomes difficult to assimilate and process knowledge gained in the classroom. The laboratories at School & College of Nursing are well equipped with each department having seperate laboratories. The labs area equipped with mannequins, CPR mannequins, specimen, articles needed for demonstration that are utilised for student practice and demonstration. Each laboratory is focused on providing the necessary hands on practice for students with beds, IV arms, neonatal incubator, warmer, mannequins, instruments used in maternity practice, charts, models, CPR dummies.

Lecture room

Well equipped lecture rooms for all the courses with modern teaching aids such as wall mount LCD, OHP & slide projector, models, charts, specimens & slides. These lecture halls therefore make classroom teaching & learning and enjoyable & fruitful experience for the students as well as for the faculty members. Display boards have been put up in all the lecture halls which serves as a platform for encouraging creativity and increasing awareness among the students. External lecturers are there for different subject to enhance the knowledge of students in their field.

Library

Our School & College of Nursing have a well big furnished library which has a very vast collection of reference books of all courses. Latest edition of nursing books are procured every year and offered for referencing. Our college is blessed with foreign donors who time to time help us to update our library with new edition of foreign books and nursing journals. The library is also updated with e-library which helps the users with high speed internet connections for assessing e-resources such as e-journals, e-books, texts & images. Theses pertaining to the M. Sc., Post Basic B. Sc. & Basic B. Sc. Nursing Programmes are available for reference.

Computer Facilities

Our School & College of Nursing is well equipped with computer training of students under which computing exercises are practiced which are helpful for students to cope up with the challenges of future.

Recreation

All the formal & informal days are celebrated as mode of recreation. Our students recreational facility helps them to improve their physical health, mental health & quality of life. Enrich your self-expression, self-fulfilment, ability, interpersonal skills, techniques and methods of using leisure, physical strength, creative expression and aesthetic sense through our recreational activities.

Recognizing the importance of sports and games for the development of both body and mind, our college has physical facilities such as campus ground for outdoor games and physical setup for indoor games are provided.

Our School & College has 2 buses for students which help for round the clock transport facility available for taking students to communicate area, field trip and picnic etc.

Lamp lighting

The lamp lighting ceremony is an auspicious occasion in every nurses life held in reverence to Florence Nightingale, The lady with the Lamp. The lamp lighting ceremony formally recognizes the student's entry into the nursing profession as the lamp symbolizes the light that a nurse becomes to her patients as a symbol of hope and comfort to those suffering. Students lit lamps as a mark of their commitment and take the nurse's pledge.

Guest house

Guest faculty, visitors and others are accommodated in well-furnished guest houses with various rooms and attached dining hall within the campus which are available on advance intimation and availability.

Community Health Nursing

All nursing students participate and become familiar with needs of the community. CHC & PHC as per DME instructions, Maternal, Child health care clinics, academic visits & camps at various places of urban and rural area are conducted regularly by our college. Referrals are made to Dhamtari Christian Hospital and government health care facilities, where necessary.

Child Health Nursing

The nursing students also get exposure to mentally retarded hospice child care clinics, deaf & dumb schools, immunization camps & child health care settings.

Mental Health Nursing

Students are sent to NIMHANS Bangalore, State Mental Hospital Sendri Bilaspur, mentally challenged old age home & Psychiatric OPDs at Govt. Hospitals for better clinical exposure to all the students.
